Industrial activities over Europe are responsible for water pollution on a massive scale. This pollution not only negatively affects the marine environment, impacts frequented bathing and recreational sites but also
severely impacts the health of blue communities living nearby and that of water sports enthusiasts, with pollution causing cancer, asthma and other diseases.
To mark Ocean Week 2022, Surfrider Foundation Europe is pleased to invite you to join us for the free screening of two film documentaries on the industrial pollution of two European bathing and recreational sites, in Rosignano in Italy and in Wijk aan Zee in the Netherlands. This event will take place on Wednesday 15 June 2022, at the European Parliament, Spaak building, Room 7C50.
The event is hosted by Members of the European Parliament Mrs Eleonora EVI (Greens/European Free Alliance) and Mrs Anja HAZEKAMP (GUE/NGL).
This is FREE event. It will be followed by a panel discussion and a cocktail reception.
